Biography:

Deborah is a Ph.D. student in German Linguistics and Language Science at Penn State. She holds a B.A. in German from the University of Ibadan and a M.A. in German Language and Linguistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Before joining Penn State, she was a lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Benin (2014–2022).

Her research focuses on morphosyntax, dialectal variation, and multilingualism. A native speaker of Yoruba, Deborah also speaks English and German. She is a DAAD alumna and a member of  Morphology Circle and  Centre for Language Science at Penn State.  During her free time, Deborah enjoys nature walks and singing hymns.
