Biography:
I’m interested in how our brain and behaviour change if we learn and use multiple languages. I use brain imaging and behavioural methodologies to investigate which specific bilingual experiences modulate attention, creativity, and the neural architecture which subserve these processes. I obtained my MA degree in General Linguistics and Dutch Language and Literature at Charles University and my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Reading. I joined PennState as a Fulbright Fellow to work in Roger Beaty’s Cognitive Neuroscience of Creativity Lab. I will use predictive modelling to investigate how and whether bilingual experiences alter the dynamics of neural networks associated with creativity.
