Biography:

Rachel is a PhD student in the Communication Sciences & Disorders department with her advisor being Dr. Krista Wilkinson. She is working on the Speech, Language, and Swallowing in Individuals with Down Syndrome (SLS) Study, specifically the language and swallowing aims. Rachel is interested in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) design for complex communicators, as well as increasing access to research for clinicians and caregivers.
