Webinar - PSU Only Participants - Internal Facing
The settings below are baseline global account settings for a Zoom Webinar with all Penn State participants, meaning everyone has a Penn State Access ID. The security settings are higher in this scenario and when creating a new webinar you should require each participant to log in with their Penn State Access ID (SSO, then 2FA) to join your webinar.
The steps listed below are to change your settings from your account default settings. If you have already altered your default settings the steps may vary for your account. If your account settings have already been changed from the defaults, make sure your settings match the check image at the bottom of the page. It shows all the account settings set for this scenario and gives you a double check minus the optional settings you choose to turn on.
There are several options you can turn on in addition to what is listed as a baseline. Refer to Global Settings for additional details on the available optional global feature and behavior settings.
A few optional global feature settings worth considering for this webinar scenario are:
Chat, Private Chat, Polling, Annotation, Whiteboard, and Hide participant profile pictures in a meeting
If you're not sure how to get to your Zoom account's "In Meeting" settings follow the directions below.

Baseline Default Settings
Internal Facing Webinar with only PSU attendees
The changes listed below are reflected in the image at the bottom of the page. The account settings image is intended to help you double-check your account settings once you've gone through the list. The image doesn't reflect any additional optional features or behaviors you turned on as you went through the list.
1. You can consider changing Screen Sharing from Host-Only to All Participants. This setting can be changed live in a webinar. Enabling Screen sharing for participants is generally safe in a webinar because it only applies to panelists.
2. You can consider turning on Virtual background to allow your hosts and panelists to have a virtual background. Many panelists prefer using official PSU backgrounds for classes, public, and other student-facing events.
3. You can leave the Waiting room setting turned on, it has no effect on your webinars. If you want a waiting room like behavior in a webinar you can enable a Practice Session in your individual webinar settings.
