In order to patch network device firmware, devices located in the datacenter need to be powered down or temporarily migrated to alternative hosting. This maintenance window is currently scheduled between Saturday, November 19th starting at 8am and end on Sunday, November 20th at 8:00PM.
What is Impacted?
Any service hosted on a virtual server (VM). The IT team has requested that several high-priority servers be migrated to alternative hosting during this outage including the servers hosting the College of the Liberal Arts website (la.psu.edu) and web applications to continue making them available for our users. If you manage a server that is hosted by VMHosting, ITLA will reach out to confirm that the server can be shut down the weekend of the 19th. If you haven’t heard from ITLA regarding a server or service that needs to be available the weekend of the 19th please contact lahelpdesk@psu.edu
